Philippines liveaboard

Recently renovated, the Infiniti was custom designed by divers for divers and offers 6 night itineraries throughout the Philippines most impressive diving areas, including Malapascua and Leyte, Visayas and Bohol, and Tubbataha Reef.

Comfortably accommodating 25 guests in 11 cabins, this spacious liveaboard has multiple areas to relax and unwind in-between dives spread across 4 decks, including a huge sundeck with loungers and hammocks, large interior lounge with comfortable chairs and entertainment system and outdoor self-serve bar.

The knowledgeable and professional crew offer up to 4 dives a day on all itineraries and the small diving groups ensure for personal and attentive guiding. The huge shaded dive deck provides individual areas for each diver and there is a dedicated camera room with plenty of charging stations.

Getting there
Malapascua & Leyte and Visayas & Bohol itineraries:
Cebu is easily reached with one stop from the UK and takes around 16 hours. The most straightforward routing tends to be via Hong Kong, Singapore or Manila with just short transits in each. 

Tubbataha itinerary:
Departs from Puerto Princessa (March to June) – there are regular flights into Puerto Princessa from both Manila and Cebu airports, with a flight time of just one and a half hours. Flight schedules vary throughout the year.

Accommodation & Facilities

There are 8 deluxe cabins which are located on the main deck and have individually controlled air conditioning, en suite bathroom with hot shower, bathrobes, toiletries and large panoramic sea view windows.  There is also a budget cabin which is located below decks and has twin bunked beds, air-conditioning, porthole window and shared bathroom.

When you are not diving, you can chose to relax in the large, air-conditioned lounge with cosy sofas and chairs, tea and coffee making facilities, fully stocked fridge, TV with entertainment system, library and games which is located on the main deck.  Alternatively, if you prefer to be outside enjoying the views, there are two outside decks, one shaded with comfortable seating and BBQ area, and for those wishing to top up their tan, the spacious sundeck which has cushioned sun-loungers and deck chairs.

Meals are served in the dining area located on the main deck, where you can enjoy the beautiful sea views from the large picture windows while you eat.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served as plentiful buffets of Asian, Thai and European cuisine, with a selection of fish or seafood, vegetarian and meat based dishes.  Fresh coffee, tea, soft drinks, hot chocolate, water, fresh fruit and snacks are available throughout the day, with beer and wine being available to purchase.

All diving is from one of the two zodiacs, allowing easy access to dive sites.  The huge purpose built dive deck and wide stern dive platform make entry/exit to the diving zodiacs very simple.  The dive deck has ample storage, personal equipment boxes, camera table, rinse tanks and fresh water showers.  Up to 4 dives per day are offered on most itineraries, weather/conditions depending.  Dive groups and site selection is chosen to meet divers safety, comfort and diving ability.

Infiniti Philippines Dive Itineraries

Tubbataha
Tubbataha (pronounced too-bah-ta-hah) National Marine Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and is comprised of just 3 coral atolls that rise from the ocean floor 100 miles east of Palawan and Puerto Princesa. To say the diving here is something that has to be seen to be believed is an understatement. Surrounded by deep cerulean blue seas, the atolls of Tubbataha break the surface of the sea by only a few inches. And it’s what surrounds these atolls that will amaze you. Accessible only by dive liveaboard, this preserved area of extreme biodiversity is protected and nurtures future generations.

Dive areas:  North Tubbataha, South Tubbataha and Jessie Beazley atolls
Sample dive sites:  Shark Airport, Ranger Station, Delsan Wreck, Blackrock, Wall Street, Malayan Wreck
Number of dives:  Up to 19
Highlights:  Clear water, pelagics, vibrant marine life, hundreds of corals
Reefs: Soft and hard corals, vertical walls, tunnels, caverns
Skill level:  Experienced open water divers (minimum 30 dives) or advanced certificate recommended, NO NIGHT DIVES due to currents.
When to go:  March to June
Water temperature:  80 – 86F, 26 – 30C

Malapascua & Leyte
Malapascua and Leyte trips showcase Monad Shoal – sure to please with thresher shark sightings, Gato Island a sea snake sanctuary with schools of fish, Leyte’s Sogod Bay with astounding corals and whale sharks and Panoan Island with black corals, deep canyons and steep walls plus whale sharks and rays.

  • Reefs:  Soft and hard corals, sloping reefs, vertical walls, tunnels, caverns

  • Water temperature:  75 – 81F, 24 – 27C
Visayas & Bohol
The Visayas and Bohol itinerary takes in Moalboal with its steep walls, numerous fish species, reef sharks and macro-life, Pescador’s protected marine park with caverns, tunnels and swim-thrus, Sumilon or Cebu Island’s marine sanctuary, Apo Island reputed to be one of the best coral reef dives, Balicasag known for sardine balls and manta rays and Cabilao Island with its very steep coral reef.
