Getting there
Getting to the Maldives is pretty straightforward with many quality carriers stopping once en-route to Male. The most popular airlines tend to be Emirates, Qatar and Etihad who each have a short transit and arrive into your destination at a sensible hour. There are direct flights with British Airways from November to March from Gatwick, but only 3 days per week. The flight time is around 11 hours to Male from London.

We can book international flights for those residing in the UK and have access to a large number of different carriers, so just let us know where you would like to fly from and we will search for the best deals and connections for you.

Upon arrival in Male we arrange for you to be met by our ground representatives and shown to your seaplane transfer. The journey time is approx 25 minutes. We also liaise with the resort to arrange your seaplane transfer back to Male to tie in with your international flight or onward connection.

Diving
Go diving
Angaga is perfectly located to access some of the best dive sites on both the western and eastern sides of South Ari atoll. Diving is excellent with a mix of channel, thila and reef dives where you can see stingrays, hammerheads, guitar sharks, turtles, grey reef sharks and eagle rays throughout the year. Mantas and whalesharks can also be found here year round, however, the peak time would be during the northeast monsoon.

The resorts dive centre, Sub-Aqua, offer boat diving with trips departing twice a day and unlimited house reef diving. The house reef runs close by the island and is a coral drop off with excellent fish life.  It is home to many turtles, whitetip sharks, blue-spotted rays, batfish and grouper. In 2016 the dive centre started a coral transplantation and nursery project to help rebuild reef that has been affected by El Niño. These corals are growing at a remarkable rate and the resort now offers guided Fluo Night Diving. This is a special dive using an Ultra Violet lamp and a yellow filter for the mask. The dive centre recently discovered that the transplanted corals glow a vibrant fluorescent yellow, making this a unique night diving experience!
