Getting to the Maldives is pretty straightforward with many quality carriers stopping once en-route to Male. The most popular airlines tend to be Emirates, Qatar and Etihad who each have a short transit and arrive into your destination at a sensible hour. There are direct flights with British Airways from November to March from Gatwick, but only 3 days per week. The flight time is around 11 hours to Male from London.
Upon arrival in Male we arrange for you to be met by our ground representatives and shown to your speed boat transfer. The journey time is approx 15 minutes. We also liaise with the resort to arrange your speedboat transfer back to Male to tie in with your international flights or onward connection.

The resort has a total of 215 villas in 7 different room types. All villas have satellite TV, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar and air conditioning. The maximum occupancy for all rooms types is 3 adults/2 adults and 1 child.
The 16 Classic Rooms are located in the centre of the island in the shade of the tropical vegetation, they are clean and comfortable within easy reach of all the islands facilities.
The 84 Standard Rooms are tastefully decorated and located on the beach front, with beautiful views of the lagoon and a private patio.
The 12 Garden Villas are located just steps away from the swimming pool and club house. They are decorated in traditional Maldivian style with their own private deck area.
The 48 spacious Deluxe Rooms are located on the beach front and have 4-poster beds, living area and private patio. Interconnecting rooms are available making them ideal for families.
The 49 traditional duplex Jacuzzi Beach Villas are situated on the beach and offer separate living and sleeping areas. They have open-air bathrooms, private balcony and open-air jacuzzi with thatched shade.
The single luxurious Jacuzzi Pool Villa has its own infinity swimming pool and cabana style sun deck with stunning views of the lagoon. Located on the edge of the island, the room has a super king size bed, sitting area and large bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub.
The 2 Water Villas are built on stilts over the lagoon and provide direct access to the ocean from the private and spacious sun deck which has a large jacuzzi where you can relax at the end of the day and enjoy the sunset.
The islands main restaurant, the Gallery Restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to guests who have pre-booked their meals and offers varied buffets of international cuisine. The Koon Thai Restaurant overlooks the lagoon and offers authentic Thai dishes. The Uni Yaki is an open-air restaurant and offers evening meals where the chef grills your food in front of you. The Huvan serves a selection of light meals and has beautiful views of the sunset from the enormous sundeck. The Sea Breeze Café is open round the clock and offers a variety of dishes including Indian curries, pizza or hamburgers, as well as Italian choices.
There is also the Pool Bar which is located at the main pool and has a swim-up counter and jacuzzi stools or the lively Sand Bar where you can enjoy a cocktail with the evening entertainment of karaoke, live band or disco evenings.
There is a large swimming pool, fully equipped gym with free aerobic classes, sauna, steam bath, tennis, squash and badminton courts and table tennis. The islands large spa provides a huge selection of treatments within a relaxing and tropical setting. The watersports centre offers various activities including jet skiing, sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing and stand-up paddle boarding. The resort also offers many excursions which include Island Hopping, Male City Tour, Dolphin Cruise, Manta Ray Snorkelling, Private Sand Bank trip and Sunrise/Sunset Fishing.
For families, Bandos has an excellent kids club which is free for children aged between 3 and 11 years old. The island also offers professional childminders and babysitters for children under the age of 3 years.
Dive Bandos is one of the most experienced and well established dive centres in the Maldives. The resort also has a Decompression Chamber and Dive Medical Officer on site.
Qualified divers can enjoy unlimited diving on the islands house reef, which is home to resident turtles, whitetip and blacktip reef sharks, as well as excellent fish life and small wreck just off the shore. There are three entry points located around the island for easy shore entries/exits.
The dive centre has also introduced a Coral Gardening Program which allows guests to get involved with the protection and rejuvenation of the marine environment in the Maldives.
Boat diving is offers from four dive dhoni’s. The boats depart twice daily, in the morning and afternoon. Full day trips are also regularly arranged. There are over 40 dive sites within 45 minutes which are accessible from the island, these include the seasonal manta ray cleaning stations of Lankan Reef (from September through to December) and Boduhithi Thila (from January through to April).
