Maldives liveaboardThe MV Emperor Virgo is a very comfortable liveaboard, accommodating a maximum of 18 passengers in well-appointed, ensuite cabins across three decks. Decorated in light wood and in a contemporary style, the main deck has an air-conditioned dining room and lounge with comfy sofas and on the upper deck there is a fully licensed bar, a perfect place to enjoy your favourite tipple as you watch the Maldivian sunset.
The Emperor Virgo has schedules that run throughout the year with mostly 7 night itineraries in the Central and Southern Atolls as well as a few longer itineraries. All trips start on Sundays, meaning flights from the UK would depart on Saturdays.
All diving is done from a large dive dhoni with 3 dive guides and Nitrox is included for those who are Nitrox certified.
The liveaboard includes free Nitrox, a glass of wine with dinner, and a beach bbq during the cruise.
Getting there
Getting to the Maldives is pretty straightforward with many quality carriers stopping once en-route to Male. The most popular airlines tend to be Emirates, Qatar and Etihad who each have a short transit and arrive into your destination at a sensible hour. There are direct flights with British Airways from November to March from Gatwick, but only 3 days per week. The flight time is around 11 hours to Male from London.

Includes: Full board accommodation in a twin/double lower deck cabin, return airport transfers, unlimited tea, coffee, water, glass of wine with dinner, diving and use of tank & weights, nitrox (for those qualified).
Excludes: International flights, domestic flights, alcoholic beverages, Green Tax, crew gratuities and travel/dive insurance.

Accommodation & Facilities
The Emperor Virgo has 9 cabins in total for a maximum of 18 passengers. On the Upper Deck there are 2 Cabins with windows and two single beds that can be adapted to doubles. On the Main Deck there are 2 Cabins with windows and two single beds that can be adapted to doubles. On the Lower Deck there are 4 Cabins with two single beds that can be adapted to doubles, plus 1 Family Cabin with a double bed and single bed.
All cabins have individually controlled aircon and ensuite bathroom with shower.
Single Travellers Guarantee: Emperor guarantees same sex cabin share on Emperor Explorer. If they can’t ‘room’ you with someone of the same sex then they will give you a cabin to yourself with no single supplement.
Facilities onboard include a spacious air-conditioned lounge on the main deck with comfy sofas, TV and dining area. a well-stocked bar. On the upper deck there is a well-stocked bar and outdoor seating area, and on the sun deck there are sunbeds.
Camera facilities include charging stations, air gun, rinse tanks and camera table.
