Getting to the Maldives is pretty straightforward with many quality carriers stopping once en-route to Male. The most popular airlines tend to be Emirates, Qatar and Etihad who each have a short transit and arrive into your destination at a sensible hour. There are direct flights with British Airways from November to March from Gatwick, but only 3 days per week. The flight time is around 11 hours to Male from London.
Upon arrival in Male we arrange for you to be met by our ground representatives and shown to your seaplane transfer. The journey time is approx 40 minutes. We also liaise with the resort to arrange your seaplane transfer back to Male to tie in with your international flight or onward connection.

The resort comprises of 90 villas, in 5 different categories. All of the villas are incredibly spacious and feature a king size bed, air conditioning, overhead ceiling fan, safe, tea and coffee, wine fridge, mini bar, wifi, bluetooth soundbar, 48 inch flat screen tv, sitting area, vanity, desk, bath robes, slippers, beach towels and a private sundeck with chaise lounges, table and chairs. All villas have a maximum occupancy of 3 adults.
The 30 Ocean Pool Villas sit over the lagoon and are incredibly spacious. Each villa has stairs into the lagoon as well as a private outdoor area with infinity pool.
15 Sunset Beach Pool Villas are the same size as the Ocean Pool Villas and all have an enviable position facing the sunset. The villas are metres from the crystal clear waters of the lagoon and have a private infinity pool.
15 Beach Villas are smaller than the Sunset variety and are situated on the beach with a lagoon view.
15 Romantic Ocean Villas have their own private jetty and outdoor bath overlooking the lagoon.
15 Ocean Villas are situated on the Eastern side of the main over water accommodation jetty and have a private outdoor area.
There are 2 main restaurants on Hurawalhi; the Cannelli restaurant serves buffet style meals throughout the day and is located on the beach to the north-east of the island. There is indoor and outdoor seating for al-fresco dining. The Kashibo restaurant is themed with Asian flavours in mind and is located on the lagoon to the south of the island. The show stopping 5.8 Undersea restaurant is located next to the Kashibo restaurant, but literally on another level! Open for lunch and dinner the 5.8, named for being 5.8 metres underwater, offers world class fine dining and amazing wines. Sheer indulgence, but worth every penny! The island also has a snack menu at the Coco Bar, romantic a la carte dinner on the beach and 24hr room service.
The Champagne Pavilion is at the end of the Ocean Villas jetty and is the perfect spot for a sunset drink at the end of the day while dolphins and rays swim past. The Koshibo bar is next to the Koshibo restaurant and has a delightful array of Asian cocktails and other beverages to enjoy. The Coco bar is located on the beach and is the entertainment hub of the resort. As well as a huge variety of beverages you will find televised sporting events, presentations, cultural shows, live music, disco and board games.
The Duniye Spa is located on the north-east of the island in a wonderful spot over the lagoon and has a range of treatments for men and women. The focus is on wholeness, luxury and purity with a natural approach to products.
For those looking for activities on the water you will find that the lovely large lagoon is the perfect place to jet ski, parasail, wakeboard, water ski, windsurf, catamaran sail, snorkel and kayak, all booked through the watersports centre.
There are plenty of activities on land to enjoy as well including; futsal courts, badminton, tennis, beach volleyball and a fitness centre. The games room also has table tennis, billiards, pinball machine, air hockey and board games to keep you entertained.
If you need any emergency supplies, souvenirs or presents then the Thari Boutique is on hand with a vast choice of products.
The diving is run by Pro Divers, who are the Maldive’s biggest and well known dive operator. They have been exploring Lhaviyani Atoll since 1988, so know all of the best dive spots around.
Lhaviyani Atoll has some of the Maldives’ most varied reef formations, overhangs and channels for the adventurous diver. There are also plenty of spots for the less experienced, so there is something for everyone here.
The dive shop organises everything from morning dives to 2 tank dives and full day excursions to various dive spots based on your experience level. There is also a fully equipped rental equipment room as well as PADI certified courses to take if you would like a refresher or take your diving certificate to the next level.
For those interested in mantas there is a superb Manta Trust Marine Biology centre on site where a resident marine biologist is on hand to inform guests of the wonderful work the charity is doing by means of trips, presentations and workshops.
