Diving
Go diving
The experienced Lembeh Resort dive team have been diving the strait for many years and do their utmost to ensure guests will see most, if not all, the creatures on their wish lists. Up to four boat dives are offered each day, with the majority of the 40+ sites within the Lembeh Strait only minutes away by boat. The dive centre has 7 fully covered twin-engine comfortable dive boats and dive gear is brought to the boat and assembled by the dive staff before each morning, and at the end of the day, removed, rinsed in freshwater, and stored in the guest’s gear locker. Group sizes are a maximum of 4 guests per dive guide. Currents are rarely strong and the average maximum depth is 20-25 meters, with dive times of 60 minutes. Unlimited unguided shore diving is also available for qualified divers.
Nitrox facilities and courses are available.
Lembeh has a huge diversity of rare and unusual marine life and every dive reveals countless species of critters. With approximately 300 types of coral and 3000 species of fish to be found along the coasts of the region, there are plenty of sites which offer divers a more traditional diving experience with hard and soft coral gardens hosting schooling fish in abundance, sea snakes, turtles, as well as passing pelagics such as barracuda, trevally and mackerel species. Mantas and whales also make seasonal appearances in the strait. There are walls, slopes, sand flats with bommies, boulder-strewn areas and even pinnacles to provide a variety of underwater landscapes. In addition to this, there are even 5 wrecks to dive, 2 of which were sunk during WWII action.
Explore

Tangkoko National Park
Tangkoko National Park is home to the world’s smallest nocturnal primate –the Tarsius Spectrum- which is endemic to Sulawesi. This tiny little creature measures around 15cm from head to tail. With a bit of luck, you may also stumble across black tailless macaques, cuscus and the large hornbill bird, amongst other flora and fauna.
This trip is a nice way to end your stay at Lembeh Resort, allowing you time to off-gas before flying the next day. The tour starts after lunch, so you can still dive in the morning, and you will be back at the resort around 19:00pm, in time for dinner. We strongly advise people to wear long trousers with socks and trainers, as you will go into the rainforest where there are mosquitoes, ants and other insects.
