PNG Master

Papua New Guinea liveaboard

Formally the MV Taka and now owned and operated by Master Liveaboards, the 30m steel hulled PNG Master was custom-designed for divers and accommodates 20 guests in 12 comfortable cabins.

The PNG Master offers itineraries which encompass some of the best diving in the Papua New Guinea, as well as itineraries in the Solomon Islands.

Papua New Guinea is home to some of the best and remote diving the South Pacific has to offer, with new marine species still being discovered here. Surrounded by the Bismarck, Coral and Solomon Seas, PNG has a stunning array of marine life from frogfish, seahorses and nudibranchs to hammerheads, whalesharks, pilot whales, dolphins and turtles, with barrier reefs, coral walls, fringing reefs and sea grass beds along with spectacular WWII wrecks, including ships, planes and submarines.

Getting there
There are many ways to get to Papua New Guinea, but the most popular route is via Singapore with daily flights from most UK airports to Singapore with Singapore Airlines, and direct flights from Singapore to Port Moresby with Air Niugini every day except Sunday and Friday.

M/Y PNG Master embarks and disembarks for cruises in either Tufi or Rabaul, which will require a domestic flight from Port Moresby. The flight to Tufi will take approximately 50 minutes and Rabaul approximately 1h 25m.  When you arrive at Tufi/Rabaul airport, you will be met by a representative from the Master fleet who will assist with your transfer to the boat. Embarkation time is 18:00pm; disembarkation at the end of the cruise will be at 09:00am.
