The latest addition to the All Star liveaboard fleet, the brand new purpose-built Velocean is an ultra-luxurious 52m liveaboard offering itineraries to Komodo, Raja Ampat, the Banda Sea, Wakatobi and the Forgotten Islands. With a cruising speed of 23mph, exploring these areas can be done with ease and in ultimate comfort.

The Velocean’s three decks have been designed to the highest quality and provide plenty of space to relax, and include a fabulous 360 outdoor sundeck with jacuzzi and indoor private camera station lounge.

The huge dive deck has ample space for everyone, with personal areas to keep your wetsuit and diving equipment separately from others.

The 10 stunning suites all have expansive ocean views and the 24 experienced crew members provide incredible service ensuring an unforgettable scuba diving adventure in beautiful Indonesia.

Getting There
The gateway to Raja Ampat is Sorong, which is the closest city to West Papua and where all of the liveaboards depart from. Direct flights operate out of Jakarta (4 hours), Manado (1 hour 15 mins) and Ambon (50 mins) to Sorong, giving you plenty of scope for stopovers and extensions. Getting to these destinations is fairly straightforward from the UK and usually involves one stop.

Accommodation & Facilities

The 2 Platinum Oceanfront Suites are situated on the main deck and offer panoramic ocean views, en-suite bathrooms, writing desk, docking station for music and surround sound speakers. The 6 Elite Double Suites with private bathrooms are located on the upper deck. Cabin numbers 5, 7 and 9 have two twin beds, and cabins 6, 8 and 10 can be configured as twin or king beds. The 2 Signature Single Suites are perfect for solo guests. Located on the main deck with en-suite, ocean views, writing desk and ample storage.

When you are not diving, you can choose to relax on the 360◦ sundeck on one of the large comfortable banquettes or take a dip in the jacuzzi while enjoying the spectacular Indonesian ocean scenery. There is also a spacious indoor lounge with private camera stations for those wishing to perfect those underwater shots.

Meals are served in the Continental Dining Room, which provides a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying healthy and nutritious meals with Asian culinary influences.

All diving is from one of the two zodiacs, allowing easy access to dive sites.  The huge dive deck has ample storage, individual gear stations, hot water showers on dive platform and equipment rinse tanks. Up to 3 dives plus one evening or night dive per day are offered on most itineraries, weather/conditions depending.  Dive groups and site selection is chosen to meet divers safety, comfort and diving ability.
