Vortex liveaboardGuadalupe Island
The 42m Socorro Vortex is a former Canadian Coast Guard vessel which has been completely redesigned as the ultimate in diving liveaboards providing the highest standards in safety, comfort and luxury, accommodating just 14 guests in 7 spacious en-suite cabins.
The Socorro Vortex offers unforgettable diving experiences in Guadalupe, from August to October. From November through June the Vortex heads to the Socorro Islands for thrilling dives with humpback whales, hammerheads, silky, silvertip and whitetip sharks, dolphins and Pacific manta rays.
The port town of Ensenada, in Mexico, where the liveaboard for Guadalupe Island is berthed, is very easily reached. A popular air routing for Guadalupe trips is to San Diego, in California. We recommend you take one night’s accommodation there prior to the liveaboard. From San Diego, the liveaboard offers a courtesy bus transfer across the Mexican boarder (they will take care of visas for you) and the journey time to Ensenada is about 2.5hrs.
Another option is to fly to Tijuana, and from there you can take a bus to Ensenada. We will happily advise which option is best for you and to give all the details.
